Jason Hill, Principal
My beautiful wife Sue and I have two recently married children- Connor who is married to Hailey, and Kaitlyn Bailey who is married to Caden. My walk with the Lord began in childhood but, like many, I drifted away as I grew. In my early thirties, I was driving where the south entrance to the Island Park is now and I very clearly had a thought from outside myself, "You or Me, Jason, choose now." Obviously, I chose God. I have since been on a road of healing and falling more in love with my King.
In May of 2007, He graciously allowed me to take over the Christian school my parents began in 1980, Emmett Valley Christian School. In 2013, EVCS merged with Calvary Chapel Emmett and became Calvary Christian Academy. I stepped away from Calvary in 2019 and served as an HR Director for a company that serves disabled adults. After four years away from serving in ministry, I'm ready and excited to serve at Pinions Christian Charter! The team of educators and ministers at PCC is truly exceptional, and I can't wait to see what the Lord does with us!

Jennifer Potts, Vice Principal (Academics)
I have been married to my amazing husband Brian for 29 years. We have 2 girls, a wonderful son in law and 2 beautiful grand kids. I have been in Christian Education for 17 years. I began my career in Christian Education volunteering as a class aide, and have enjoyed serving as both a teacher and vice-principal. I love being around kids and teaching them about Jesus! I have taught in Sunday school, VBS and volunteered with various kids programs! In my free time I love spending it with my family, especially grandkids. I love the mountains, and crocheting!

Barbie Getchell, Vice Principal (Administration)
The Lord blessed me with my husband Adam 28 years ago. He and I have two daughters together, as well as my three stepchildren, their spouses, and our 5 grandchildren who live in San Antonio, Texas. I began my professional career as an archaeologist and later held operational roles in the business world and as a Chaplain in Adult and Juvenile Corrections. In recent years, I served as a school Principal and Children’s Ministry leader. I am humbled by the work that the Lord is doing in Pinions Christian Charter and by the awesome responsibility that it is to disciple and educate these precious children.

Kristy Gunderson, Teacher (Elementary)
My name is Kristy Gunderson. I have been married to my amazing husband Mark for almost 34 years and together we have 5 kids. I have been in some form of teaching, (private school and homeschooling), for over 17 years. I am so very excited to be teaching this year at PCC and have a passion to pour into these kids. Jesus Christ is at the very center of all I do.

Joany Mitchell, Teacher (Elementary)
My name is Joany Mitchell. I'm so excited about this new chapter in life. I've been a Christian since I was 10 (goodness, that was so long ago, haha). I have been married to my amazing supportive husband for 19 years, and we have a 14-year-old daughter who is my cherished gift on so many levels. I've been homeschooling my daughter and 6 other kiddos these past few years which I love, but I know the Lord is calling me to this new endeavor. I've also taught 1st grade at a private school for 4 years, teaching all subjects. My last year there I did teach 1st and 2nd combined. With homeschooling I've taught many grades along with all subjects. I look forward to growing with you and your kiddos! Thank you for this privilege!

Gayle Scott , Teacher (Junior High and High School)
While deciding what I wanted to do when I grew up, I graduated college with a degree in environmental science, was a mortgage processor, a loan officer and ran a catering company. I raised two boys, started a science club in school and volunteered to run science experiments in class. Finally, I finally realized that I wanted to be…a teacher! I taught at Gem Prep Academy and am excited to be at Pinions Christian Charter where I can make a real difference.
I grew up as a reorganized Latter Day Saint that left me with lots of questions as an adult. I left the church, and
through many trials, I found my husband Bryon. His encouragement and long-winded debates led me to my Christian faith. My hobbies are, anything horses, fishing, camping, kayaking, gardening and cooking.

Tyler Mitchel, Teacher (Junior High and High School Math)
I’m 28 years old. I’m a sixth generation Emmett resident. I’m currently a senior at Boise Bible College studying education with a major in mathematics. I have a history of working with troubled teens in behavioral and residential settings. In my free time, I train and teach Brazilian jujitsu. I also enjoy paintballing and the outdoors. My goals are to become the problem solver for students who struggle with mathematics.
